Accessibility Statement

Our approach

Stage Captions exists to make live events more accessible, so we treat accessibility as a first-class requirement for both our website and our captioning platform. After seeing in-person conferences without captions, we set out to build a browser-based solution that works for presenters, attendees, and teams with diverse needs. We review new features with this goal in mind and keep accessibility feedback on our product roadmap.

Standards we follow

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our baseline for design and development on stagecaptions.io and within the Stage Captions web application.

This helps us offer keyboard-friendly navigation, clear contrast, responsive layouts, and accessible caption controls. Accessibility work is ongoing; when we ship updates, we test them against the guidelines and adjust when gaps appear.
