Security practices

Security

This page summarizes how Stage Captions handles security-sensitive topics for live captioning. It is written to describe current product practices without overstating controls.

Audio and transcripts

Stage Captions processes event audio in real time to provide live captions. We do not store event audio files in the Stage Captions service.

Generated caption text is used during a live session. We do not provide long-term transcript storage in the Stage Captions service.

Customer data and model training

We do not use customer audio, captions, transcripts, rooms, dictionaries, account data, or support data to train models.

Where third-party services are needed to operate Stage Captions, we avoid making public claims about their independent model-training practices beyond our own use of customer data.

Retention and deletion

Customers can delete rooms and custom dictionaries in the product.

If you want us to delete your account and associated personal data, contact support. We will delete or de-identify personal data unless limited retention is required for legal, tax, billing, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution reasons.

Because Stage Captions does not store event audio files or long-term transcript files, there are no stored audio files or transcript archives for us to retain or delete from the Stage Captions service.

Transport security and hosting

Stage Captions uses HTTPS/TLS for browser and API traffic.

If you need current details about hosting regions, infrastructure, or subprocessors for a vendor review, contact support.

Account access

Administrative access to customer data is limited to authorized admins.

Customers are responsible for keeping their own credentials secure and for notifying us if they suspect unauthorized account access.

GDPR and privacy rights

Stage Captions is operated from Lithuania and is designed to support GDPR rights such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent where those rights apply.

We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a privacy request.

Reliability and incident response

We monitor the service and work to restore availability when incidents occur.

For incident updates, suspected security issues, or operational questions, contact support. We will review reports and respond based on severity and impact.
